The Eagle Tavern is one of the earliest surviving structures in Oconee County. The Eagle Tavern was built before 1801 and possibly as early as 1794 when Watkinsville was a frontier town on the edge of Creek and Cherokee Indian Territories. It is believed by some that this site was once called Fort Edwards and served as a gathering place for early settlers who needed protection from attacks by the many Creek and Cherokee Indians who flourished in this area.

Elberton, Georgia is known as "Granite Capital of the World". The museum contains historical exhibits, artifacts, educational displays, and material about Elberton's famous Granite Industry. Exhibits explain quarrying and manufacturing techniques.

The Elliott Museum exhibits the historic Bill Elliott Family racing memorabilia and collectables with a Souvenir Center on site. Also Fan Club Headquarters.

The mission of the gallery is for people to experience the visual arts on all levels through observation, education, and participation by featuring local and regional artists.

Historic House

The house built by tobacco merchant Ezekiel Harris in 1797, the Ezekiel Harris House deemed "…the finest 18th century house surviving in Georgia.." by the Smithsonian's Guide to Historic America.

Nature Centers, Science

The word "Elachee" is from the Cherokee language meaning "new green earth". Elachee is a woodland refuge and museum designed to involve, excite and educate visitors of all ages. Elachee Nature Science Center is located within the 1500 acre Chicopee Woods Nature Preserve. We offer a variety of environmental education programs...school field trips,homeschool programs, scout programs, adult master naturalist program, teacher education, summer day camp, children's birthday parties, public programs including First Saturday Hikes, special Saturday programs, Snake Day, Fall Family Festival, and nature-oriented volunteer opportunities. Additionally we have two exhibit halls, a live animal room with native reptiles and amphibians, and a nature shop.

The home and birthplace of the author of "Tobacco Road" and "God's Little Acre" displays personal items. Collections of books, movie art, U.S. and foreign versions of Caldwell's work and a video presentation are available. Book and gift shop.

The Museum contains artifacts of an agricultural area-begun in 1832. Located in the Historic District of downtown Euharlee
