In this effort we will collect, preserve and maintain appropriate artifacts and undertake a national education effort to publicize the significance of the Battle of Plattsburgh in the War of 1812 and our nation’s history.

Founded in 1863, the Brooklyn Historical Society is a nationally renowned urban history center dedicated to the exploration and preservation of documents, artwork and artifacts representative of Brooklyn's diverse cultures past and present.
